Thanks to GregDean for the following.

As he explains to John Locke in "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham", Matthew Abaddon was a man who worked for Charles Widmore, helping make sure that people who were supposed to get to the Island, got to the Island. He made sure John Locke went to Australia for his walkabout, made sure the Freighter Four were led by Naomi, and assisted John Locke in his efforts to reunite and return the Oceanic Six.

What is Matthew Abbadon's relationship to Jacob and/or the island?

Thanks to GregDean for the following.

Although we do not know of any relationship to Jacob, as seen in "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham", Matthew Abaddon's role in the battle for the Island is as a man who works for Charles Widmore, making sure that people who are supposed to be on the Island, get to the Island.

Who is Naomi really working for?

    Thanks to Greg Dean.

As revealed in "The Other Woman" by Ben to Locke, Charles Widmore is funding the Freighter Kahana's mission, so in addition to being recruited by Matthew Abaddon, Naomi and the other Freighters are ultimately working for Charles Widmore.

    Who is on the freighter?

Thanks to GregDean for the text.

We know now that George Minkowski, the man Jack talked to, was the communications officer of the Kahana, a freighter commissioned by Charles Widmore (Ben tells us that in "The Other Woman"), including a team of five that was recruited by Matthew Abaddon.

As for who was specifically on the Freighter when Jack called, the crew/passengers include: Frank Lapidus, Daniel Faraday, Charlotte Lewis, Miles Straume, Keamy, Omar, Ray (The Doctor), Regina, George Minkowski, The Captain, at least three redshirt crewmen and "Ben's Man" on the boat, who may or may not be one of the previously mentioned people.
