As seen in Episode 5x06 "316", the exact circumstances of the first crash must occur again in order for Jack and the rest to return to the island, meaning that it has to be Jack(instead of taking his father's coffin, it's Locke's coffin), Kate, Sun, Hurley(now carrying a similar instrument as Charlie, becoming the new Charlie), and Sayid(who is being guarded by a marshal, similar to Kate in the first crash)

On the latest podcast Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse informed us that Jae-Lee did in fact commit suicide.
