Thanks to GregDean for the following.
As seen in "316" and partly in earlier episodes, Ms. Eloise Hawking is a woman based at a church in Los Angeles that is built upon the DHARMA Lamp Post Station, which is used to identify the location of where The Island is going to be in the future. Ms. Hawking's goal is to help Benjamin Linus recruit the Oceanic Six to return to the Island, and guides Jack towards finding a way to make John Locke the "proxy" for his father, Christian Shephard, in an effort to replicate the events of Oceanic Flight 815 on the flight of Ajira Airways 316.
Ms. Hawking is also Daniel Faraday's mother, and (IS MOST LIKELY) the young woman known as Ellie that Daniel Faraday meets on The Island in 1954, who he feels reminds him of someone he knows.
Who is Daniels Mother?

The Island
As we found out in 316 the island moves so you cannot say for certain where it is except for where it is at a certain time
Why is it that Ms. Hawking only knows how to get back to the island?

Thanks to Mindy.
Ms. Hawking found out how to get back to the island by using the Lamp Post Dharma station.
Why does the island require everyone to come back?

As seen in Episode 5x06 "316", the exact circumstances of the first crash must occur again in order for Jack and the rest to return to the island, meaning that it has to be Jack(instead of taking his father's coffin, it's Locke's coffin), Kate, Sun, Hurley(now carrying a similar instrument as Charlie, becoming the new Charlie), and Sayid(who is being guarded by a marshal, similar to Kate in the first crash)
Why does Locke have to die for the Oceanic 6 to return to the island?

Thanks to razzle dazzle
As seen in episode 5x06 "316" Eloise Hawking said that they needed a proxy, in other words, in order for Jack and the others to return they must recreate the exact circumstances they were first in when they first crashed onto the island. Therefore, the new Christian is Locke.
