Thanks to razzle dazzle
As seen in Episode 5x06 "316", the exact circumstances of the first crash must occur again in order for Jack and the rest to return to the island, meaning that it has to be Jack(instead of taking his father's coffin, it's Locke's coffin), Kate, Sun, Hurley(now carrying a similar instrument as Charlie, becoming the new Charlie), and Sayid(who is being guarded by a marshal, similar to Kate in the first crash)

We know that the Aaron cover up is part of "The Lie" of the Oceanic Six, to cover up the existence of the Island, and the people, like Claire, who are still on it.

As we found out in Episode 6 of Season 3, "I Do", Kate was married to Kevin Callis under her assumed name of Monica, and she left him when she realised she could not settle down and would always be on the run.
Who was she married to? Why did they separate?

Answering the question in an interview on September 21, 2005, Damon Lindelof confirmed that this use of the same prop car in Hawaii to film the accident scenes in the different episodes was not intentionally significant.

Mr Friendly
In A Tale of Two Cities we see Kates wrists all cut up.
ABC have release promotional shots of a cut scene where Kate stuggled before being taken back to her cage.
Also Gregg Nations(Script Co-ordinator) has confirmed the following.(Thanks to SarahM for finding this)When Kate cries, I would think of it more as everything overwhelming her. She's not a character that likes being trapped, handcuffed and in a cage. If you were to imagine her trying to rip the handcuffs off and trying to escape, you wouldn't be far from the mark. And realizing she couldn't run, and then seeing Sawyer in the same condition, was probably the thing that pushed her over the edge. I'd probably cry at much less.
